Boulder, Colorado (WSFA) – Jabari Smith Jr., a former Auburn men’s basketball all-American and the third overall pick in the NBA Draft, is one of 15 players that have been named to the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team, the school said on Friday.
As the team gets ready for the Summer Olympics in Paris, the participants will train alongside the USA Basketball Men’s National Team.
Along with Charles Barkley, Frank Ford, Adam Harrington, Walker Kessler, John Mengelt, Chris Morris, Isaac Okoro, Chuck Person, and Wesley Person, Smith is one of 11 former Auburn players that are on Team USA.
Eight teams (2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2023) have been selected and used by USA Basketball since the program’s inception in 2006 to assist the USA National teams in getting ready for significant international tournaments.
