ANOTHER SAD NEWS: Just In Kansas State Head Just Confirm Top Sensational Star Player Just Agree To Leave……..

Deuce Vaughn can run the ball with the best of them, as any Kansas State supporter knows, but the Cowboys want to use him in a different capacity.

Vaughn was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but he only played a small part in the season and was placed on the injured reserve list at the conclusion of it.

It appears like Vaughn has been practicing in the slot alongside the wide receivers because the Cowboys did not make many moves in free agency this offseason. Vaughn acknowledged that since the conclusion of the previous campaign, he and offensive coordinator Brian Shottenheimer had discussed this.

When he was a player at Kansas State, Vaughn did have plays at slot receiver, so he should be familiar with this new position. Vaughn amassed 1,280 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in three years at Kansas State.

This doesn’t mean that Vaughn will take over as the Dallas Cowboys’ primary wide receiver, but it does give Shottenheimer and the team a more versatile player.

In addition, Vaughn noticed a slight increase in his touches at running back because the Cowboys didn’t add many names and lost a few running backs. This offseason, Ezekial Elliott made his second stint with the Cowboys; however, it was his output that caused the team to release him. Vaughn has the potential to see the field even more if he can outproduce Elliott, as he can now play wide receiver in addition to running back.
