Three-star security Jakai Anderson declared on social media on Saturday that he had committed to play football for LSU.
According to 247Sports Composite, Anderson is the No. 34 safety and No. 454 prospect in the country for the Class of 2026.
He is the No. 15 recruit in Louisiana and attends McDonogh 35 High in New Orleans.
Among others, Anderson received scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Arkansas, and Louisville.
Anderson is the second recruit in the Class of 2026 to commit to the Tigers in as many days. He stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 168 pounds. Prospect Richard Anderson of New Orleans, a four-star defensive lineman, became LSU’s first commitment of the Class of 2026 on Friday.

The Tigers have commitments from two of Louisiana’s top-15 prospects in the 2026 class: the two Andersons. Eight players from Louisiana have committed to LSU’s 2025 class, including seven of the top ten prospects and the top four recruits in the class.
With Jakai Anderson’s commitment, LSU has the nation’s No. 19 recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite. In 2025, it boasted the fourth-best recruiting class in the country.
