Two Boston Bruins prospects will be on Team USA for the 2024 World Junior Hockey Summer Showcase, which will be held at USA Hockey Arena Plymouth, Michigan, from July 26 to August 3.

Athletes aspiring to make their respective national teams for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025, have been invited to the event. Bruins’ 2023 draft picks Chris Pelosi and Beckett Hendrickson were teammates with the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL for a portion of the 2023–24 season.

46 hockey players—25 of whom are forwards—have been invited by USA Hockey to take part in the showcase, which consists of nine international games and daily practices. Other forwards include Oliver Moore (19th overall), Gabe Perreault (23rd overall), and Ryan Leonard (8th overall) in the 2023 first-round draft.

Pelosi, who played center for the Stampede for two seasons, was selected 92nd overall in the third round. The 6-foot-1, 1985-pound forward has 40 assists and 34 goals in 99 games. The 19-year-old from Sewell, New Jersey, has committed to Quinnipiac University for the 2024–2025 season.

Hendrickson, who played 43 games this season as Pelosi’s linemate at times, finished with 18 goals and 25 assists before being traded to the Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he played 16 games and scored nine goals and 21 assists.

In 11 playoff games, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound forward also scored seven points. The Minnetonka native was selected 124th overall in the 2023 draft. Hendrickson, who turns 19 on June 24, has committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers of his home state for the 2024–25 campaign.
