Seahawks Modify DT Jarran Reed’s Contract
Brady Henderson reports that the Seahawks and DT Jarran Reed reached an agreement on a revised contract that will effectively turn $530,000 of Reed’s potential incentives into a portion of his base pay.
Henderson says the terms of the deal will be made public shortly and that his maximum value is unchanged.

In 2016, Reed, 31, was chosen from Alabama in the second round. He agreed to a two-year, $23 million contract with Seattle in March 2020 after playing out the last year of his four-year contract worth $4,889,636 that included a signing bonus of $1,756,100.
After being released by Seattle, he inked a one-year contract with the Chiefs in 2021. Before agreeing to a two-year, $10.8 million contract with the Seahawks in 2023, he played out his one-year contract with the Packers.
For the Seahawks in 2023, Reed played in 16 games and finished with 54 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 pass defenses.
