Auburn football offers Chris Davis’ son, and Auburn basketball head coach Bruce Pearl is looking to add another transfer, according to today’s Auburn Tigers News.
This offseason, the Auburn basketball program has been very active on the transfer portal. Head coach Bruce Pearl has been trying to rebuild his team in anticipation of the 2024–25 campaign, bringing in Aden Holloway, Tre Donaldson, and KD Johnson in addition to Lior Berman and Jaylin Williams leaving.
This autumn, the Tigers will welcome Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard as freshmen. Two transfers from the portal, JP Pegues and Ja’Heim Hudson, have already been added. Pearl claims that the Tigers are still looking for one more transfer.
According to Auburn Rivals, Pearl said, “I think that’s the last piece — one more impactful guard.” “We truly need one more candidate with a competitive chance. Whichever position it is going to be, whether it be a 1/2, 2/1, 2/3, or 3/2, doesn’t generally matter to me. It will be one more guard, though.
Football at Auburn offers Chris Davis’s son
Chris Davis, a former Auburn football player, will always be remembered for his 109-yard touchdown carry in the 2013 Iron Bowl, also known as The Kick Six. The Tigers defeated the Tide 34-28 after Davis carried the ball all the way to the Auburn endzone as time ran out on Alabama’s short field goal attempt.
Chris ‘CJ’ Davis, a running back in the recruiting class of 2028, received an offer from the Auburn football program earlier this week. Hewett-Trussville in Alabama will host his freshman campaign this fall. The younger Davis received offers from Florida State, Arkansas, and UCF in addition to former Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn.
